ORDINANCE NO. 1846 An Or -inance levying the general taxes for the City of Everett for the fiscal year commencing January 1st 1919, upon all taxable property, both real and personal, in said City, subject to tax- ation therein, for the purpose of raising sufficient revenue to carry on the different departments of said City for the ensuing year, as required by the Charter of said City, prescrib- ing and apportioning the Bare auong the different funds of said City for said fiscal year, providing for themaiection thereof and repealing all ordinances in con''lict therewith, WHEREAS , on the 19th day of September 191g, the City Council did duly and regularly adopt the estimate of the amount required to meet the public expenses of said City for the ensuing year, and the amount to be raised by taxation in said City for said ensuing year and the estimated amount of the receipts for the ensuing year from sourcis other than by directi taxation, and WHEREAS, said estimate, together with the notice that said City Council would meet on the first Monday in October 191g, in the City Hall of said. City for the purpose of making tax levies, as stated in said estimates, was published in the official newspaper of said City in all respects as required by law, and WHEREAS said time for considering said estimate and tax levies has now arrived and said City Council having heard all tax-payers appearing in favor of or against said proposed tax levies, does hereby make, determine and decide the amount of taxes upon the current assess- ment rolls to be the sum of '277,350 .00, apportioned as hereinafter described, row THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That t'-:ere be and is hereby levied upon the real and personal property in the City of Everett, or subject to taxation there- in, a general property tax for municipal purposes for the ensuing year, ( 1)
