EROSION CONTROL ELEMENT # 8 - Stabilize Channel and Outlets. <br />Requirements — Stabilize Channel Outlets <br />1. All temporary on -site conveyance channels shall be designed, constructed and <br />stabilized to prevent erosion from the expected peak 10 minute velocity of flow <br />from a Type IA, 10-year, 24-hour frequency storm for the developed condition. <br />Alternatively, the 10-year, 1-hour flow rate indicated by an approved continuous <br />runoff model, increased by a factor of 1.6, may be used. <br />2. Stabilization, including armoring material, adequate to prevent erosion of outlets, <br />adjacent stream banks, slopes and downstream reaches shall be provided at the <br />outlets of all conveyance systems. <br />The following Best Management Practices, (BMPs), the ones that the Contractor will implement on <br />site, to meet the erosion control requirements listed above: <br />❑ Channel liningBMP C202 <br />❑ Outlet protection —BMPC209 <br />❑ Other <br />✓ Not Applicable —See explanation below <br />Actions will be taken to accomplish these requirements and objectives, given the unique <br />circumstances of the project and or site. <br />No storm drainage channels such as a ditch will be constructed, either temporary or permanent. <br />There are no existing channels or ditches within the project area. <br />15 <br />
