Additional requirements for protecting these BMPs during the construction process, testing functionality, and restoring functionality are needed at the final stage of the construction process Contractor must protect all permanent BMPs from sedimentation through installation and maintenance of erosion and sediment control BMPs on portions of the site that drain into the these permanent BMPs. Restore the facilities to their fully functioning condition if they accumulate sediment during construction. Restoring the facility must include removal of sedimentation. Contractor must protect completed lawn and landscaped areas from compaction due to construction equipment. Contractor must keep all heavy equipment off existing soils under BMP facilities that have been excavated to final grade. 22
