EROSION CONTROL ELEMENT # 13 - Protect on -site Stormwater Management <br />BMPs. <br />❑ C 102: Buffer Zone — BMP C 102 <br />❑ High Visibility Fence BMP C 103 <br />❑ Interceptor Dike and Swale — BMP C200 <br />❑ Check Dams BMP C207 <br />❑ Triangular Silt Dike — BMP C208 <br />❑ Brush Barrier Zone — BMP C231 <br />✓ Silt Fence BMP C233 <br />❑ Vegetated Strip — BMP C234 <br />❑ Other <br />The areas on the site to be used for permanent BMPs shall be protected from siltation and <br />compaction during construction by sequencing the construction in a fashion to install these <br />BMPs at the latter part of the construction grading operations, by excluding equipment from the <br />BMPS and the associated areas, and by using the erosion and sedimentation control BMPs. <br />Additional requirements for protecting these BMPs during the construction process, testing <br />functionality, and restoring functionality are needed at the final stage of the construction process <br />Contractor must protect all permanent BMPs from sedimentation through installation and <br />maintenance of erosion and sediment control BMPs on portions of the site that drain into the <br />these permanent BMPs. <br />Restore the facilities to their fully functioning condition if they accumulate sediment during <br />construction. Restoring the facility must include removal of sedimentation. <br />Contractor must protect completed lawn and landscaped areas from compaction due to <br />construction equipment. <br />Contractor must keep all heavy equipment off existing soils under BMP facilities that have been <br />excavated to final grade. <br />22 <br />
