Snohomish County Legal Services - Housing Justice Program [ <br /> The Housing Justice program functions as a homeless prevention program by providing legal services <br /> to low-income tenants at eviction hearings. <br /> Recommended 2016 CDBG Funding $7,200.00 <br /> S. Senior Services of Snohomish County - Housing Social Services <br /> Housing Social Services provides for a regular on-site service coordinator at federally funded, <br /> subsidized housing for senior and disabled residents. They are trained to recognize social and health <br /> needs and to help residents to obtain services quickly and effectively. This forms.a link to the service <br /> network in order to prevent premature or unwarranted institutionalization. <br /> Recommended 2016 CDBG Funding $9,000.00 <br /> 9. Everett Family YMCA—Child Care for Low Income Parents <br /> CDBG funds will be used for the YMCA's child care and day camp programs to meet the growing need <br /> for child care for low-income families. <br /> Recommended 2016 CDBG Funding $8,000.00 <br /> 10. Advocates for the Rights of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (ARC) <br /> Specialized Housing Program <br /> This program is designed to benefit adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their <br /> families living in the City of Everett. The goal of this project is to assess that our clients are <br /> appropriately connected to vital services by providing comprehensive support, information, resources, <br /> education and referrals related to independent living and housing with the intent to foster <br /> independence within the community they live. <br /> Recommended 2016 CDBG Funding $9,450.00 <br /> 11. Senior Services of Snohomish County— Meals on Wheels <br /> Meals on Wheels provides home delivered meals to homebound seniors and people living with severe <br /> disabilities who are unable to prepare their own meals and do not have family and friends to support <br /> them. <br /> Recommended 2016 CDBG Funding $10,800.00 <br /> 12. Cocoon House—Way-out Program <br /> Way-out is an evidence based 13 hour seminar serving low-risk youth offenders, at-risk youth, and <br /> their parents/caretakers in an effort to prevent recidivism in the legal system and other risk-taking <br /> behaviors while increasing supportive relationships between youth and parents/caretakers. <br /> Recommended 2016 CDBG Funding 11 $14,162.00 <br />
