<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Whereas, the City of Everett celebrates the freedom, joy, and well-being that bicycling offers, <br /> <br />And; throughout the month of May, residents and visitors alike can participate in a variety of local <br />biking events or simply head outside to enjoy a solo ride, <br /> <br /> And; bicycling promotes health, quality of life, and economic vitality by reducing pollution and <br />congestion, supporting local businesses, and drawing tourism to Everett; <br /> <br />And; local organizations, businesses, and civic groups, together with the League of American <br />Bicyclists, will join in promoting cycling as a safe, sustainable, and year-round form of transportation <br />and recreation; <br /> <br />And; these efforts will enhance public awareness of bike safety and education, contributing to safer <br />streets and healthier communities; <br /> <br />Now, therefore, I, Cassie Franklin, Mayor of the City of Everett, do hereby proclaim May 2025 as <br /> <br />“Bike Month” <br /> <br /> in Everett, and encourage all residents to get involved, ride safely, and celebrate the many benefits <br />of biking. <br /> <br />Signed this 7th day of May, 2025 <br /> <br /> <br /> Mayor Cassie Franklin <br />City of Everett, WA <br />
