The submitted documents include a sketch showing an elevation view of the <br />proposed stairway. Comprehensive construction -level drawings are required for <br />review. RE: Elevation view shown on page 4 of the engineered drawings. <br />2. The construction drawings are required to be sealed and signed by a professional <br />engineer licensed in the state of Washington. See RCW 18.43. RE: The <br />cohstruction-level drawings were completed by McCann Structural Solutions on <br />11/23/23. Theywere sealed and signed by MichaelP. McCann P.E., S.E. on <br />11 /23/23. <br />3. The drawings should include foundation and framing plans, sections, details, <br />material requirements, and general notes. RE: The drawings include foundation <br />and framing plans (pages 5,6 and 7), sections, details, material requirements and <br />general notes are included on pages 3-9 of the Structural Calculations/Sketches <br />supplement to the Engineered Construction Drawings submitted. <br />4. The drawings should include details forthe construction of the stairs, guards, and <br />handrails complying with IBC Sections 1011,1014 and 1015. RE: Included in the <br />comprehensive construction -level drawings and structural calculations submitted <br />with this proposal have specific details forthe construction of the stairs, guards and <br />handrails. <br />5. The construction drawings should address all issues identified in Code <br />Enforcement Case No. CE22-1032. RE: The drawings included address the issues <br />identified in Code Enforcement Case No. CE22-1032 specificallyto make the stairs <br />safe, structurally sound and reinforced to remove excessive lateral movement <br />through the addition of cementfootings, additional framing and securing structure <br />to the exterior of the building. The second issue of handrail guards greater than six <br />inches has been previously addressed by a previous contractor but will be <br />confirmed to be in compliance within code requirements during the repairs <br />completed after the permit has been granted. <br />
