ORDINANCE NO. 2428-99 <br /> AN ORDINANCE relating to the Downtown Everett Business Improvement <br /> Area(BIA), also referred to as the Downtown Everett Business Improvement <br /> Area No. 1, approving the year 2000 budget and Levying Annual Special <br /> Assessments upon Buildings and other Real Property(and owners thereof)for <br /> collection during the year 2000. <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Everett City Council,with the passage of Ordinance No. <br /> 2097-95,established a Downtown Everett Business Improvement Area(BIA);and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett City Council approved a 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999 <br /> budget for expenditures for the BIA; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Downtown Everett Property Owners Association has proposed a year <br /> 2000 annual budget for the BIA;and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett City Council finds that the proposed year 2000 annual <br /> budget is necessary and appropriate in order to meet the objectives and purposes for <br /> which the BIA was formed. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: The year 2000 annual budget and proposed activities of the Downtown <br /> Everett Business Improvement Area, attached and made a part of this ordinance as <br /> Attachment A, are hereby approved,and the year 2000 annual special assessment, <br /> attached and made a part of this ordinance as Attachment B,is hereby approved, <br /> assessed,levied and shall be collected as set f. therein according to Ordinance No. <br /> 2097-95 and state law. <br /> EDW A441 D. • SEN,Mayor <br /> A' "l 'ST: <br /> CITY CLERK <br /> Passed: 12-15-99 <br /> Valid: 12-22-99 <br /> Published: 1-1-2000 <br /> Effective: 1 7 2000 <br />
