2025 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE OVERLAY SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />PW# 3830 <br /> SP-1 March 26, 2025 <br /> <br />COE Intro OptionA.rtf 1 <br />INTRODUCTION TO THE SPECIAL PROVISIONS 2 <br /> 3 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br />(January 4, 2024 APWA GSP, Option A) 6 <br /> 7 <br />The work on this project shall be accomplished in accordance with the Standard Specifications 8 <br />for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction, 2025 edition, as issued by the Washington State 9 <br />Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the American Public Works Association (APWA), 10 <br />Washington State Chapter (hereafter “Standard Specifications”). The Standard 11 <br />Specifications, as modified or supplemented by these Special Provisions, all of which are 12 <br />made a part of the Contract Documents, shall govern all of the Work. 13 <br /> 14 <br />These Special Provisions are made up of both General Special Provisions (GSPs) from 15 <br />various sources, which may have project-specific fill-ins; and project-specific Special 16 <br />Provisions. Each Provision either supplements, modifies, or replaces the comparable 17 <br />Standard Specification, or is a new Provision. The deletion, amendment, alteration, or addition 18 <br />to any subsection or portion of the Standard Specifications is meant to pertain only to that 19 <br />particular portion of the section, and in no way should it be interpreted that the balance of the 20 <br />section does not apply. 21 <br /> 22 <br />The GSPs are labeled under the headers of each GSP, with the effective date of the GSP and 23 <br />its source.
