2025 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE OVERLAY SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />PW# 3830 <br /> SP-18 March 26, 2025 <br /> <br />1-07.7.INST1.GR1 1 <br />Section 1-07.7 is supplemented with the following: 2 <br /> 3 <br />1-07.7.OPT6.GR1 4 <br />(March 13, 1995) 5 <br />If the sources of materials provided by the Contractor necessitates hauling over roads 6 <br />other than State Highways, the Contractor shall, at the Contractor's expense, make all 7 <br />arrangements for the use of the haul routes. 8 <br /> 9 <br />1-07.8.GR1 10 <br />High-Visibility Apparel 11 <br /> 12 <br />1-07.8.INST1.GR1 13 <br />The third and fourth paragraphs of Section 1-07.8 are revised to read 14 <br /> 15 <br />1-07.8.OPT1.2026.GR1 16 <br />(November 4, 2024) 17 <br />High-visibility garments shall always be the outermost garments worn in a manner to 18 <br />ensure 360 degrees of uninterrupted background and retroreflective material encircling 19 <br />the torso. 20 <br /> 21 <br />High-visibility garments shall be labeled as, and in a condition compliant with the 22 <br />ANSI/ISEA 107-2015 publication entitled “American National Standard for High-Visibility 23 <br />Safety Apparel and Accessories,” or equivalent revisions. 24 <br /> 25 <br />1-07.8(1).GR1 26 <br />Traffic Control Personnel 27 <br /> 28 <br />1-07.8(1).INST1.GR1 29 <br />Section 1-07.8(1) is revised to read: 30 <br /> 31 <br />1-07.8(1).OPT1.2026.GR1 32 <br />(November 4, 2024) 33 <br />All personnel performing the Work described in Section 1-10 (including traffic control 34 <br />supervisors, flaggers, and others performing traffic control labor of any kind) shall 35 <br />comply with the following: 36 <br /> 37 <br />1. During daylight hours with clear visibility, workers shall wear a high-visibility 38 <br />ANSI/ISEA 107 Type R Class 2 or 3 garment with background material that 39 <br />are fluorescent yellow-green, fluorescent orange-red, or fluorescent red in 40 <br />color; and a high visibility hardhat that is white, yellow, yellow-green, 41 <br />orange, or red in color; and 42 <br /> 43 <br />2. During hours of darkness (½ hour before sunset to ½ hour after sunrise) or 44 <br />other low-visibility conditions (snow, fog, etc.), workers shall wear a high-45 <br />visibility ANSI/ISEA 107 Type R Class 2 or 3 garment with background 46 <br />material that are fluorescent yellow-green, fluorescent orange-red, or 47 <br />fluorescent red in color; a high-visibility lower garment meeting ANSI/ISEA 48 <br />107 Class E, and a high visibility hardhat marked with at least 12 square 49 <br />inches of retroreflective material applied to provide 360 degrees of visibility. 50 <br /> 51
