• ORDINANCE No. 181.2 An ordinance providing for the opening up and establishing of an extension of Norton Avenue in the city of Everett, from the north- erly terminus .of the trestle built by the county of Snohomish as an extension of Norton Avenue, to a point on the northerly boundary line of the property known as the Blackman Brothers Mill property, all in Section 7 of Township 29 North, of Range 5 Fast, W.M. , as a public street and highway over and across certain lots, blocks, tracts and parcels of land in the city of Everett, providing for ascertainment and payment of just compensation to be made for the land and other property rights taken or damaged thereby, and prov- iding the manner in which the cost and expense of said opening and establishing shall be made, and amending Ordinance No. 18OO, of the city of Everett, and declaring an emergency. WHEREAS, public necessity demands that an extension of Norton Avenue be opened. up and established as a p,eblic street and high- way from the northerly terminus of the trestle built by Snohomish County as an extension of Norton Avenue, to the northerly line of the property known as the Blackman Brothers Neill property, and WHEREAS, it is determined that such opening up and establishing o " said street ie. a public necessity, and that the sane will be of special benefit to certain lands, premises, and other property, "Ow" TN^pEFOR^, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1800 of the city of Everett be, and the sane is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 1: That Norton Avenue be and the same is hereby ex- tended, opened up, and established as a public street and highway from the northerly terminus of the tr=stle built by Snohomish County as an extension of said avenue, northerly and easterly ther -- from, and across certain lots, blocks, tracts and parcels of land in said city of Everett, the said street as extended and establish- ed being r_^.ore particularly described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at the quarter section corner between Sections 7 and 8, mownship 29 North, Range 5 East, W.M.; thence south 88 egrees 58 minutes 38 seconds west along the south line of Lot 1, Section 7, said township and range, 6675.81 feet to the west line of the Northern Daci fic Railway Company' s right-of-way, the true point of beginning; thence south 32 degrees 42 minutes 38 seconds west along the westerly line of the said Northern pacific Railway Company' s right-of-way 2025.99 feet to the Government meander line; east thence north 20 degrees 45 minutesealong the Government meander line 153. 54 feet; thence north 25 degrees 45 minutes east 57.52 feet; thence north 32 degrees 42 minutes 38 seconds east 1741.49
