May 14, 2025 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., May 14, 2025, <br />by President Schwab. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin, Council Members Zarlingo, Bader, Rhyne, Vogeli, <br />Tuohy, and President Schwab were present. Council Member Fosse was excused. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne recited the land acknowledgement. <br /> <br />The minutes of the May 7, 2025 meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin promoted the Community Development Department’s “No Place to Grow Old” <br />screening, advised that it is National Police Week and National Nursing Home Care Week. She <br />also signed a proclamation for Skilled Nursing Care Week at Bethany. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />The Council received seven (7) written comments and the following members of the public spoke: <br />Jo Newland, Keil Shepherd, Madeline Shepherd, and William Parent. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo attended the Parks and Built Environment meeting, the Comprehensive <br />Plan Update Open House, Snohomish County Tomorrow Exploratory Group meeting, and Puget <br />Sound Regional Council Transportation Policy Board meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader attended the Riverside Neighborhood meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne attended the Parks and Built Environment meeting, reminded the public <br />that it is Bike Everywhere Month and there is an event at the Everett Transit Station on Friday, <br />May 16th from 3-6 p.m. She also advised that Everett is working on obtaining Creative District <br />designation and advised the public that a survey is available on the city website. She also <br />attended the Glacier View Neighborhood Association meeting and advised the Lowell <br />Neighborhood meeting is on Monday at 7 p.m., as well as Saturday is Clean Everett Day.
