SNO-ISLE TECH 2O23 SMALL WORKS <br />McGRANAHAN ARCHITECTS <br />Section 00 70 00, Page 5 <br />GENERAL CONDITIONS <br />1.1.7 THE PROJECT MANUAL <br />The Project Manual is the volume usually assembled for the Work which may include the bidding <br />requirements, sample forms, General Conditions of the Contract and Specifications. <br />1.2 EXECUTION, CORRELATION AND INTENT <br />1.2.1 The Contract Documents shall be signed by the Owner and Contractor as provided in the <br />Agreement. <br />.1 By executing this Contract, Contractor represents and acknowledges that it has carefully <br />examined the Contract Documents and the Project site and that it has satisfied itself as to, and Contractor <br />does hereby assume full and sole responsibility for: the nature, location, character, quality and quantity <br />of the Work; the labor, materials, equipment, goods, supplies, work, services and other items to be <br />furnished, and all other requirements of this Contract, as well as the conditions and other matters that <br />may be encountered at the Project site or affect the performance of the Work or the cost or difficulty <br />thereof, including but not limited to those conditions and matters affecting: transportation, access, <br />disposal, handling and storage of materials, equipment and other items; availability and quality of labor, <br />water, electric power, utilities and fire protection; availability and condition of streets; climatic <br />conditions and seasons; physical conditions at the Project site and surrounding locality; other <br />construction work planned for the area and required coordination therewith; potentially applicable <br />governmental laws, requirements and permits; potential water and air pollution conditions; topography <br />and ground surface conditions; and equipment and facilities needed preliminary to and at all times during <br />the performance of the Work. <br />.2 Claims for additional compensation or extensions of time because of the failure of the Contractor <br />to so examine the Contract Documents, Project site, local conditions and potentially applicable laws, <br />regulations and permits and to familiarize itself therewith will not be allowed. <br />1.2.2 The intent of the Contract Documents is to include all items necessary for the proper execution <br />and completion of the Work by the Contractor. The Contract Documents are complementary, and what <br />is required by one shall be as binding as if required by all. Work not covered in the Contract Documents <br />will be required if it is reasonably inferable as being necessary to produce the results intended by the <br />Contract Documents for a completed project to the level of quality consistent with the nature and <br />standard of such Work required by the Contract Documents. <br />1.2.3 Subject to the precedence of categories of documents stated in subparagraph 1.2.6 of these <br />General Conditions, in the case of inconsistency, conflicts or discrepancies within one or more of the <br />categories of documents listed said subparagraph, the more stringent requirement shall take precedence <br />unless waived in writing by the Owner. The more stringent requirement shall be interpreted so that the <br />higher quantity, better quality, or more costly Work be provided in accordance with the Architect's <br />interpretation. <br />1.2.4. Organization of the specifications into divisions, sections and articles, and arrangement of <br />Drawings are for convenience only and shall not be construed as nor imply a division of the Work among <br />mcg-ARC 2120.000 February 28, 2023 <br />
