Cal Bearman
From: Cal Bearman
Sent: Tuesday, October 1, 2024 11:44 AM
To: PERMITS@MACMILLER.COM
Subject: Everett Permit Services - M2409-076 - 3927 Rucker Avenue
Good morning,
I have completed the first Building review for your submitted documentation for the mechanical permit application at
3927 Rucker Avenue (Permit M2409-076). This is for review of building issues only. This email will serve as the building
review discipline's correction letter. The comments below should be addressed. Please make any necessary revisions to
the drawings and submit the revised set per our re -submittal instructions which can be found on the resubmittal
instructions tab on our website linked here: Permit Review, Resubmittal instructions. Additional resubmittal upload
standards can be found here: permit document upload standards and instructions (PDF)
Important note: All resubmittals require a Transmittal Sheet to be filled out and emailed
to PermitServices@everettwa.gov in order to keep your permit moving forward.
Comments
1. The drawings or structural analysis should demonstrate that the new units do not increase the previous loading
condition on the roof by more than 5%. The weight of all accessory components (e.g., mounting support
structure, operating weight with fluid, etc.) should be included. If the load increase exceeds 5%, a structural
analysis of the supporting framing is required. See IEBC Section 706.2.
2. If installation of the units requires substantial structural modifications to the supporting framing, a building
permit will be required. The application should include drawings and calculations for the proposed
modifications. Minor modifications (e.g., blocking between existing framing) may be performed within the
scope of the mechanical permit application.
The mechanical drawings should include the structural sheets as they reference the installation to be per
structural details.
Please use the Online Permitting Portal to check the status of all reviews. General permit questions can be addressed to
Permit Services at.PermitServices@everettwa.gov or (425) 257-8810.
Thank you,
Cal
— Cal Bearman, P.E.
Associate Engineer— Building Plans Examiner I Permit Services
425.257.8810 1 3200 Cedar Street, 2nd Floor, Everett, WA 98201
EVERETT Phone Hours: M/W/Th: 8 a.m. — 12 p.m. & 1 p.m. — 3 p.m.
everettwa.gov/permits I Facebook I Twitter
Note: Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public
Records Act.
