The Building Permit Application shows that the option has been selected for the property owner to <br /> act as the contractor in lieu of a contractor's license. The"AFFIDAVIT FOR OWNERS ACTING AS THE <br /> CONTRACTOR IN LIEU OF A CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE" requires that the property owner must <br /> comply with all items listed on the form. The property was purchased less than 12 months ago (on <br /> 08/25/2023) and appear to be for the purpose of sale or leasing. Please clarify if this property is to <br /> be owner occupied or for sale or leasing once renovations have been completed. If the property is for <br /> sale or leasing, please provide Contractor information (RCW 18.27.140 & RCW 18.27.010). <br /> 2. Prepare drawings using recognized drafting standards for building construction (IRC Section <br /> R106.1.1). <br /> 3. Prepare drawings using the approved scales. Use consistent scales where appropriate (e.g., same <br /> scale for all architectural and structural plans, etc.). Scales should be: <br /> a. Architectural plans: architectural scale (e.g., 1/4" = 1'-0", etc.). <br /> 4. Show entire house layout, including existing construction not included in the project. Detailed <br /> construction information is not required for existing work that has been previously permitted. <br /> Existing construction should show: <br /> a. Walls, drawn at nominal thicknesses (e.g., 4", 6", etc.). <br /> b. Doors, type, width, and swing direction. <br /> c. Windows, including emergency egress windows and sizes. <br /> d. Exterior decks, porches, and balconies, including stairs, guards, and landings. <br /> e. Locations of all appliances (e.g., stove, furnace, W/D, etc.). <br /> f. Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. <br /> Architectural <br /> 1. General: <br /> a. Provide plans that show existing and proposed layout for entire house. <br /> b. Local sections, details, general notes, material requirements, and other information as required to <br /> specify the proposed construction. <br /> c. Plan and elevation dimensions: Include all dimensions, elevations, slopes, etc. required to define the <br /> proposed work. <br /> 2. Provide local exhaust fan in proposed bathroom (IRC Section 303.4 and M1505.4.4(WAC)). <br /> 3. In the proposed laundry location local exhaust is recommended, but not required, when not placed in a <br /> room equipped with a local exhaust. Dryer exhaust shall comply with IRC Section M1502. <br /> This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and amended by <br /> the state of Washington and the city of Everett. Corrections and comments made during the review process <br /> do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit requirements.
