Where applicable, this includes the antenna and equipment support structure and
affected portions of the existing main structure.
SITE DESCRIPTION
The appurtenances will be mounted to the parapet of an existing building rooftop with an overall height
of 133'. The equipment shall be anchored to a new steel platform.
The Client provided us with original building drawings dated 1979. Photos of the site and architectural
plans were also provided for the proposed revisions. All geometry, member sizes, and material
strengths used in our analysis were based on this information. If anything differs from the information
contained in these documents, CG Engineering should be notified to revise our analysis.
APPURTENANCE CONFIGURATION
The structure was analyzed using the appurtenance configuration specified in the following table. All
loading was provided to us from the Client. This table includes all known existing and future antennas
for this site.
Existing Appurtenance
Proposed Appurtenance
Sector
Mount Type
Configuration
Configuration (Bold=New)
(2) Commscope Panel Antennas
Model No. FFW-65B-R2
Mount antennas to new wall mount and
A
None
(2) RF4450t-71A
mount appurtenances to new Unistrut at
(2) RF4451d-70A
existing building parapet
(1) OVP
(2) Commscope Panel Antennas
Model No. FFW-65B-R2
Mount antennas to new wall mount and
B
None
(2) RF4450t-71A
mount appurtenances to new Unistrut at
(2) RF4451d-70A
existing building parapet
(1) OVP
(2) Commscope Panel Antennas
Model No. FFW-65B-R2
Mount antennas to new wall mount and
G
None
(2) RF4450t-71A
mount appurtenances to new Unistrut at
(2) RF4451d-70A
existing building parapet
(1) ovP
The coax cables that serve the antennas weigh less than 5 Ib/ft and are therefore exempt from the
requirements of Chapter 13 of ASCE 7.
EQUIPMENT CONFIGURATION
All loading for the rooftop equipment was provided to us from the client. The client is proposing the
following modifications at the equipment cabinets: add (1) steel platform, add (1) H-Frame, add (1)
equipment cabinet, add (1) power protective cabinet, add (1) safety switch, add (1) submeter, add (1)
fiber NID enclosure, add (1) fiber telco enclosure, and add (1) GPS unit.
250 4th Avenue South, Suite 200
Edmonds, WA 98020
ENGINEERING ph.425.778.8500 1 f.425.778.5536
www.cgengineering.com
