This created a special improvement project titled “Municipal Court Security <br />Camera Upgrades” Fund 342, Program 045, to accumulate all costs for the project. <br />Ordinance No. 4040-24 was put into effect on September 12, 2024. <br />The total cost of this project is $322,521.16, including Washington state sales tax. This <br />purchase is brought before the Council for award in compliance with the Procurement <br />Policy. <br />Project summary statement: <br />The Municipal Building was built in 2013, and the existing CCTV cameras have reached <br />the end of their useful life and need to be replaced. To improve overall security, 35 high- <br />definition cameras will be installed throughout the public-facing areas of the interior <br />and exterior of the building. <br />The quotation provided by CDW-Government LLC includes all equipment, project <br />management, installation, and additional labor services. <br />The equipment and labor are available for purchase from CDW-Government LLC through <br />the King County Directors’ Association (KCDA) competitively bid contract #022-G/City of <br />Everett contract #2022-073. The City has an interlocal cooperative purchasing <br />agreement with KCDA that allows for purchases from its competitively awarded <br />contracts instead of soliciting bids on our own. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Award and authorize the Mayor to sign the contract for the purchase of security <br />cameras and installation services from CDW-Government LLC using the King County <br />Directors’ Association (KCDA) Contract #022-A/City of Everett contract #2022-073 in the <br />amount of $322,521.16, including Washington state sales tax. <br />
