The highest-scoring proposal will be brought to <br />the city council for consideration and approval. <br />Project summary statement: <br />This project is a rebid of Sodium Hypochlorite Supply from Invitation for Quote #2024-124 Water <br />Treatment Chemicals. The previous contract was terminated on March 12, 2025, and the supplier <br />was notified that the City would no longer place orders from it. The WFP staff is purchasing the <br />current need for sodium hypochlorite from the Emergency Declaration signed on March 12, <br />2025. <br />Staff is requesting that the City Council authorize the issuance of Request for Proposal (RFP) <br />#2025-032 to receive proposals from suppliers to provide Sodium Hypochlorite at the WFP. <br />This solicitation will result in a supplier providing a continuous supply of Sodium Hypochlorite to <br />meet Washington State Department of Health disinfection requirements to treat water from Lake <br />Chaplain before distributing it to customers. <br />In addition to cost, the supplier selection will be based on the ability to provide a product that <br />doesn’t include foreign matter or impurities that may damage or interfere with the city’s <br />equipment and the supplier's ability to provide the level of customer service the city desires in <br />the ordering and delivery of the product. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the release of Request for Proposal #2025-032 Sodium Hypochlorite in the form <br />substantially provided. <br /> <br />City Council Agenda Item Cover Sheet
