Belden 1037A and 1055A cables are a pre-3 <br />approved source. Other cables may be submitted for approval consistent with 4 <br />the following specifications: Multi pair loop detector lead-in cable shall consist of 5 <br />two or three individually twisted and shielded pairs of #16 AWG stranded copper 6 <br />wire, surrounded by an outer jacket of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Each pair shall 7 <br />also contain a stranded copper drain wire and shall be individually shielded with 8 <br />an aluminum polyester foil shield. 9 <br /> 10 <br />FCNH 8-20.2(9-29.18) VIDEO DETECTION.rtf.DOCX 11 <br />9-29.18 Vehicle Detector 12 <br />Section 9-29.18 is supplemented with the following: 13 <br /> 14 <br />9-29.18(3) Video detection 15 <br />All components needed to provide a complete thermal detection system shall be 16 <br />supplied and installed per manufacturer’s recommendation. 17 <br /> 18 <br />The thermal detection equipment shall include, but not be limited to, Cameras, 19 <br />Camera Housings, Camera Lens, Camera Mounting Hardware, Video Image 20 <br />Processors, Input File Adapters, lens Adjustment Modules, Keypad and Monitor. 21 <br /> 22 <br />The thermal detection system shall be capable of supplying video detection to the 23 <br />signal controller phases as indicated in the plans. 24 <br /> 25 <br /> 26 <br />9-29.18(3)A Thermal Detection System 27 <br /> 28 <br />The thermal traffic detector sensor shall have 24 vehicle presence detection 29 <br />zones, 8 bicycle presence detection zones, 8 pedestrian presence detection 30 <br />zones, 8 traffic data detection zones, and 8 wrong way driver detection zones 31 <br />per sensor. Data zones shall collect and store vehicle counts, volume, speed, 32 <br />gap time, headway, occupancy, and classification. Data shall be time-33 <br />stamped and stored onboard (non-volatile memory) in a user selectable 34 <br />interval, from 1-60 minutes. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Data alarms are generated for: queue, inverse direction, speed drop, no 37 <br />video, and other errors. 38 <br /> 39 <br />The EDGE interface card shall be modular by design and housed in either a 40 <br />self-contained stand-alone unit or fit directly into NEMA TS1 & TS2 type racks 41 <br />as well as Type 170/2070 input files.
