NELSON <br />Seattle, Washington <br />2/26/2021 <br />City of Everett <br />Permit Services <br />3200 Cedar Street <br />Everett, WA 98201 <br />Re: Latitude Development LLC - 200 Marine View Dr. <br />Permit #: B2011-018, First Building Review <br />Dear City of Everett, <br />This letter is written in response to the permit comments provided for the Latitude Development - 200 W Marine <br />View Dr. development. Responses are as follows: <br />BUILDING REVIEW: DREW MARTIN <br />1. The building requires a minimum of 2 exits per IBC Table 1006.3.2(2). Following comments should be <br />addressed. <br />A. Interior and exterior egress lighting is required per Sections 1008.3. Lighting locations should be specified <br />on the plans. <br />B. The lighting should be provided with a 90-minute emergency power supply. The duration and source of <br />the power supply should be stated on the plans. <br />RESPONSE: <br />1. Exit locations are shown on the Egress Plan sheet AN-1. We are providing 6 exits. <br />A. Exterior egress lights are already shown and noted with keynote 9 on the exterior elevations (A3.1-A3.2) at <br />all exit doors. I have added a note to sheet AN-1 to include interior emergency lighting at all exit signs that <br />are currently noted on sheet AN-1. The emergency lights will be integral with the exit signs. I have added a <br />standard detail depicting the typical exit sign with integral emergency lighting to sheet AN- 1 <br />B. A note has been added to has been added to sheet AN-1 to include the 90-minute battery backup <br />requirement. Keynote 9 on the exterior elevations calling out the exterior emergency light fixtures has also <br />been updated to reflect the 90-minute battery backup requirement. <br />2. The following comments should be addressed for the exit signs in the First Floor Egress Plan on Sheet AN-1: <br />A. The plan should specify both high and low exit signs. See IBC Section 1013.1. <br />B. The emergency power requirement should state the required power source and specify a minimum 90- <br />minute duration.
