MR #2 Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention
(SWPPP)
All new development and redevelopment projects are responsible for preventing erosion and discharge of
sediment and other pollutants into receiving waters. A Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan
(Construction SWPPP) is designed to be a stand-alone document that addresses construction stormwater
management concerns. A copy of this SWPPP is required to be kept by the contractor performing the work at
the jobsite for reference and updated during the duration of construction.
Task 1: Describe the project during construction
(You may attach a narrative that answers the following questions)
Nature and purpose of the construction project:
Build a new single-family residence on R-2 zone, 7,041 SF lot.
Adjacent areas, including streams, lakes, wetlands, residential areas, and roads that might be
affected by the construction project:
The edge of Swamp Creek -associated wetlands is 185 feet to the east, however due to
site topography, runoff first flows toward Rosewood Ave drainage system and does not
flow directly toward Swamp Creek.
How upstream drainage areas may affect the site:
Site slopes are fairly flat, and adjacent properties do not appear to provide significant
off -site contribution to site runoff. The roadside ditch elevation appears low enough that
the ditch itself would overflow before a catch basin or cleanout on the property would
nVArflnw 0
Downstream drainage leading from the site to a receiving body of water:
There is a ditch running south along the east side of Rosewood Ave. Flow ultimately
ends up in Swamp Creek. Site walk reveals ditch culverts along the path are partially
buried. Some neighbors complained about backup during heavy rainfall. Just upstream
of this nroiect's nronosed outfall into the ditch. there is a culvert crossing to the west M
Critical areas that receive runoff from the site up to one -quarter mile away:
Swamp Creek would receive site runoff after approximately 700 feet flowing through
the City storm system. However, the area where Swamp Creek would receive this
runoff is just south of the southern edge of the wetland area marked on Map Everett.
Special requirements and provisions for working near or within critical areas:
None. This project should not affect the wetlands around Swamp Creek. Sediment will
be prevented from entering the ditch at Rosewood Ave.
City of Everett Public Works
Small Project Stormwater Site Plan Report -Dec 2019
