• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1791 <br /> An ordinance providing for the licensing and regulating of <br /> junk dealers, prescribing penalties for the violation thereof, <br /> amending Ordinance No. 1595, and repealing all ordinances and <br /> parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, and declaring an emerg- <br /> ency. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 5 of Ordinance No. 1595 of the <br /> city of Everett is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> nSection 5: The license fee of pawnbrokers is hereby <br /> fixed at the sum of Forty r4C.oo) Dollars per annum; license fee <br /> cf junk and second-hand dealers is hereby fixed at the sun of <br /> Thirty-five ( 35.0o) Dollarg per annum; and in addition thereto <br /> there shall be a license fee of Fifteen : ( `15.00) Dollars for each <br /> and every wagon, automobile, truck, or other vehicle used by said <br /> junk or second-hand dealers in crying on thei--tusiness, and <br /> each of said vehicles shall at all times have conspicuously dis- <br /> played thereon a license tag carrying the number of said vehicle <br /> license. n <br /> Section 2: That Ordinance No. 1595 of said Everett is <br /> further amended by adding thereto a section to be designated as <br /> Section 14, to read as follows: <br /> "Section 14: Every person employed by any junk or second- <br /> hand dealer as a driver or operator of the tean, automobile, truck <br /> or other vehicle used by said dealer in his business, shall register <br /> at the office of the Commissioner of Safety of said Everett, said <br /> registration to show the name, age, and residence of said driver, <br /> and the name of the person, firm or corporation by whom said driver <br /> is employed, and each of said drivers shall re-register on or <br /> before the 10th day of January of each year of their employment as <br /> such driver or operator. " <br />
