Each of these <br />accounts/funds has number and name. Within the funds there are subcategories called programs. Below <br />is the list of funds the City uses to pay for transportation improvements. <br />City Transportation Accounts / Funds <br />Fund Program Name Allocated for <br />119 Street Improvement Fund Asphalt street overlays, street improvement and <br />repair projects, and in the past has brought in <br />roughly $1.1 million annually <br /> 524 Arterial Street Program Capital projects on arterial streets in Everett. This <br />fund is often used as a matching contribution to <br />grants for City projects <br /> 612 Overlay and Preservation <br />Program <br />Overlay and preservation projects throughout the <br />City <br />154 Real Estate Excise Tax Fund A portion is allocated to the street overlay <br />program. <br />157 Traffic Mitigation Fund Traffic improvements resulting from development <br />159 Transportation Benefit <br />District <br />Preservation expenditures <br />425 Transit Fund Capital expenditures like purchasing new buses <br />and installing EV infrastructure, and the remaining <br />for other expenditures, such as salaries <br />Note the Transit Fund is not included in the list of revenue sources as it only applies to transit expenditures and <br />not to other project types.
