EVERETT 2044 <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 6/17/2025 <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />HEALTHY COMMUNITIES ELEMENT <br /> Page 161 <br />HC-9 Collaborate with the school districts, college, university, and community partners to provide <br />programs to support and encourage young adults to find acceptance with mentors, <br />apprenticeships, and leadership opportunities. <br />HC-10 Collaborate with community partners, nonprofits, and government agencies to assist people <br />who are at risk for violence to find organizations that offer understanding and support with <br />ending the cycle of violence, trauma care and assistance. <br />HC-11 Collaborate with community partners, nonprofits, and government agencies to provide human <br />services to support the development and operations of emergency and supportive housing and <br />shelters. <br />HC-12 Support efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable people. <br />HC-13 Collaborate with community partners, nonprofits, and government agencies to support an <br />intentional response in providing the unhoused with housing, shelter, and supportive services. <br />HC-14 Collaborate with the Everett and Mukilteo School Districts, other educators, and Everett Public <br />Library to assist in promoting and accessing lifelong learning from early childhood to <br />adulthood. <br />HC-15 Prevent dangerous exposure to air pollution and toxic chemicals. <br />HC-16 Avoid exposing children to air pollution concentrations when siting childcare, education, and <br />recreation facilities for youth. <br />
