White households, while varied, most closely reflect the citywide <br />distributfon. <br />Despite persistent disparitfes, the 2017–2021 data show some modest shifls in the income distributfon <br />across almost every group. Overall, the share of households earning below 30 percent of AMI fell from <br />21 percent to 17 percent, while the 50–80 percent band grew from 15 percent to 20 percent. White, <br />non-Hispanic households saw their lowest-income share tfck down to 17 percent and their top-income <br />share inch up to 37 percent. Pacific Islander households experienced a pronounced turnaround: the <br />proportfon under 30 percent AMI dropped to 25 percent (from 58 percent), and 39 percent now reside <br />in the 80–100 percent bracket. Hispanic and Black households both shifled toward the middle tfers— <br />Hispanic households grew from 21 percent to 28 percent in the 50–80 percent band, and Black <br />households from 19 percent to 38 percent in that same range—while Asian households held steady at 40 <br />percent above median income. American Indian/Alaska Natfve households moved slightly upward as <br />well, with those above 100 percent AMI increasing to 38 percent from 15 percent.
