What characteristics most distinguish your organization <br />from your competitors? <br />Our Point of View <br />We are not like most consultants. <br />We specialize in Fire and EMS. Unlike generic consulting firms, <br />Darkhorse Emergency solely works with <br />Fire and EMS clients. We speak the <br />language of fire, are intimately familiar <br />with standards such as NFPA and CPSE, <br />and can share best practices across our <br />client spectrum. We are often told by our <br />clients how much they appreciate a <br />partner who understands the intricacies of <br />fire operations. <br />We believe in clear, visual <br />communication. Communication with <br />councillors and other stakeholders <br />requires them to not only understand but to be moved to action. <br />We are award-winning visual designers, who specialize in making <br />data come to life. You won’t find any complex tables or dated 3D <br />pie charts in our materials, but simple, clean designs that bring <br />clarity to the complex. <br />We believe in evidence-based decision-making. Our models <br />have been developed in academia and backed by science. We use <br />3-5 years of RMS/CAD data, filtered and cleaner, to create <br />customized and local-level forecasts and estimates to create a <br />robust and accurate predictive analytic model. <br />We believe reports should be actionable, and easy to <br />understand. Too often, reports are bloated 400-page documents <br />that confuse more than clarify. For this reason, they often sit on the <br />shelves, without driving forth any actions. We believe in getting to <br />the heart of issues and issuing clear, actionable reports that <br />leadership is eager to put to work. <br />17
