Describe any challenges or risks you anticipate in <br />completing this analysis. <br />Having successfully completed similar projects, Darkhorse has <br />experienced many of the common challenges and have <br />implemented measures to avoid - or at least mitigate - them. The <br />Project Charter exercise and kick-off meetings are essential to <br />clearly understanding the finer details not included in the RFP <br />document. <br />Several of the risks below are common to all needs assessment <br />studies, but others may be unique to this engagement. <br />Risk Area Level <br />(H/M/L) <br />Mitigation Plan <br />Project sponsor availability <br />and engagement <br />High Keep the sponsor up-to-date and involved in the process. <br />Provide support in communications and issues resolution. <br />Look to the sponsor to provide strategic leadership and <br />guidance at key points in the project with stakeholders. <br />Competing priorities High It is assumed that most key stakeholders in this project have <br />other priorities in addition to their “day jobs” <br />Early completion of the stakeholder engagement plan and <br />schedule will assist in securing key stakeholders’ time in <br />advance and increase the probability of important <br />stakeholder involvement <br />Darkhorse will provide materials in advance to allow for <br />appropriate preparation for meetings, interviews and <br />workshops <br />Darkhorse will do our utmost to plan meetings at optimum <br />and convenient times to lessen conflict with other priorities <br />Data Quality High Work closely with stakeholders to ensure quality data. <br />Data Availability High Provided detailed data request at outset of project, or prior - <br />if possible - to allow the project team time to have the data <br />access ready by the contract start date. <br />Schedule Slippage Medium Manage the consultant progress regularly through <br />bi-weekly project updates.
