Our work has been completed in general accordance with our proposal dated January 16, 2019, discussions with you, and in accordance with generally accepted geotechnical engineering practices. This letter-report was prepared for the exclusive use of Mr. Adam Kierstein and his authorized agents, for specific application to this project. No other warranty, express or implied is made. SITE AND PROJECT DESCRIPTION The site is an existing single-family residence located at 5814 25t" Avenue West in Everett, Washington as shown on the "Vicinity Map," Figure 1. The lot is comprised of a relatively level portion where the residence is situated in the eastern two-thirds of the property, and a west-to northwest-facing slope within the western third of the property. During our initial site visit in 2018, two 4-feet tall terraced segmental block walls were situated at the top of the slope extending from the north to south property lines. We understand you observed the walls were out of alignment following removal of vegetation from the area of the walls after you had purchased the home. In early 2022, we understand that the lower wall failed and wall replacement is time sensitive. The slope is approximately 38 feet tall from the top of the uppermost wall to the western property limits and is inclined at greater than 60 percent. The slope continues to drop down to the west at similar inclinations over a vertical elevation drop of approximately 15 feet relative to the northwest corner of the property. City of Everett Critical Areas Maps 2 and 3 indicate the western sloping portion of the property is classified as landslide hazard and erosion hazard critical areas, respectively, due to the inclination and height of the slope and the type of soils exposed on the slope.
