(2) Slopes of twenty-five percent to forty percept in all other geologic units.
c. Any area with all three of the fallowing characteristics:
(1) Slopes}treater than.fifteen percent;and
(2) Hillsides intersecting;geologic contacts with a relatively permeable sediment overlying a
relatively impermeable sediment or bedrock;and
(3) Springs,groundwater seepage,or saturated soils.
d. Any area which has shown movement during the Holocene epoch(from ten thousand years
ago to the present)or which is underlain or covered by mass e-=astage debris of that i6poch.
e. Any area potentially unstable as a result of rapid st.r40
ii incision, try cam batik erosio or
undercutting by wave aCtlon.
f. Arcas of historic failures, including areas df'unstable, told and recent landslides or landslide
debris within ahead scarp, and areas exhibiting geomorpholog;ical features;indicative of past
i slope failure,such as hummocky ground,slumps,eartiltlows,mudtlows,etc.
` g. Arty area with a slope of forty percent or steeper and with a vertical relief of fifteen or more
p
p
feet, except those manmade slopes created under the design and inspection of a geoteclhnical
[
professional,or slopes comprised of consolidated rock.
It, Areas that are at ri%k of landslide due to hip;lh seisnlic hazard.
I: i. Arens that are at risk of landslides or litass movement due to severe erosiort 11bZardS."
We observed no areas on the site showing indications of.past landslide activity, such as landslide
headscarpzs and sidescarps, hummocky terrain, areas with geologic conditions that cart promote
earth niovernew, or areas with signs of potential landslidilh.t;, such 'as springs, groundwater
j sec-page, and bowed or backtilted trees. We did not observe any areas rvitlh topographic
expression of runout 7.oiies, such its fans and CalliNial deposition at the face df hillsides. We
reviewed the USGS neap for the subject sitc. .Based on our review, the site does not contain ropy
known. or documented landslides, We did observe slopes steeper than. 40 percent along Elle
western (uphill) end of the site. However, we observed .no relatively permeable sediment
overlying a relatj, icty iroperrniable sediment or bcdrex lc. and we observed no springs or
groundwater seepage. The: xteeper than 40 percent slopes located along the western end of the
adway embankment.fill for Federal Avenue.
site appear to be.ro
Based on our review, according to the FMC, the site is not classified as having landslide lha7
areas. The steeper than 40 percent slopes located along the western end of tile site appear to be
s:
roadway erttbankinent fill for federal Avenue. The natural slope inclilhation would have been
bef"veen 25 and 40 percent. The.Sits is underlain with medium dense IQ dense SBild with Silt and
= grnvel consistent with Advance Qutwaslt that will exhibit a relatively high shear strength and low
catmflressibility. Pro surface seater is controlled on the site, and all structures are provided
with proper subsurface drainage measures, the potential.for a landslide to occur at this site should
C. be considered negligible. According to the BMC, the site is not classified as an active or a
potitttial landslide hazard area.
Ages En&enriag,LLC Page 4
r 253-845.7000
