Section 2: Authorization is hereby granted to provide for the development of contract plans, specifications and detailed cost estimates and construction required to provide the following: A. Northeast Neighborhood Allocate $40,000.00 for adding sidewalks, neighborhood clean-up/code enforcement, replacing broken sidewalks, street trees, traffic improvements, drainage improvements, street safety projects, bus shelters and a paint up fix up program. and street safety projects. B. Port Gardner Neighborhood Improvements Allocate $40,000.00 for Neighborhood clean up, new sidewalks, replacing broken sidewalks, paint up-fix up program and park improvements. C. Riverside Neighborhood Improvements Allocate $40,000.00 for park improvements, replacing sidewalks, street trees and a paint up fix up program. Section 3: Should costs be less for the above projects than originally estimated, similar projects, upon a vote of the Neighborhood, will be funded. If project costs exceed the estimates given, the lowest priority project or projects will be dropped for funding. Section 4: Authorization is hereby given to accumulate costs and distribute payments from Fund 360 Program 098 and Program 099 to accomplish the "Community Development Neighborhood Improvements" Section 5: The Planning Director of the City of Everett under the administration of the Mayor is hereby given the responsibility working with the appropriate departments to provide the improvements as described herein. Section 6: The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to obtain interim financing which may be in any form permitted by law. Interim financing liabilities shall be paid by the Treasurer as soon as permanent financing monies, from sources as described elsewhere in this Ordinance, are received.
