Backgrounei hif®rmatimao <br /> The client is going to remove drywall in order to remediate after water intrusion <br /> and have requested sampling and analysis for asbestos content. <br /> Property description: <br /> This structure is a an apartment in a building that was originally constructed <br /> in 1976. <br /> Summary- <br /> Based on the results of the sampling performed, less than 1% asbestos was found in <br /> -- - <br /> the materials analyzed. <br /> The light spray textured wall assembly in the master bedroom and child's <br /> bedroom exterior wall does contain less than 1% Chrysotile,asbestos in the <br /> compound_laver. The whole assembly can be considered to be less than 1% <br /> WISHA states that "In such cases WISHA enforcement staff must assess that <br /> the basic asbestos work practice requirements as ZLven in MAC 96-62-1771 <br /> particularly use of wet non-aggressive methods and prompt clean-up. Vacuums <br /> used must be HEPA filtered. Worker training must include asbestos awareness <br /> and hands on training as given in WAC 296 62 077 (5) Respiratory protection <br /> must be based on overall dust levels A competent person must be assiLyned and <br /> trained under the requirements of WAC 296-62-07728 Where full depth <br /> sampling or reassessment of the wallboard system has been conducted in accord <br /> with section III.A of this document and the wallboards stem is found to contain <br /> less than one percent asbestos or trace asbestos L&I will NOT consider the work <br /> will an asbestos project." (see attachment <br /> L�Rt(j) ,AalaIVsis <br /> All samples included in this report were analyzed by Aerobiology Laboratory <br /> Associates, Incorporated in Huntington Beach, CA (NVLAP Certification number <br /> 201076-0). The samples were analyzed using Polarized Light Microscopy/Dispersion <br /> Staining (PLM), Method for the Determination of Asbestos in Bull.
