Please verify the existing door opening to be 32" per IRC 311.2 and the hallway will be 3ft per IRC 311.6. <br /> RESPONSE: Note added to the plan and will be verified on the field . <br /> 2. 1/A4 appears to be truss roof detail which is not the applicable in this project,please update the detail <br /> accordingly. Meanwhile,please show roof assembly detail from another direction. Roof could be vented <br /> or unvented,please refer to IRC 806.5. <br /> RESPONSE: Detail 1/A4 is revised. <br /> 3. 2/A4 and 3/A4 are not applicable in this project, but it's ok to leave like that since no basement scope in <br /> the project. <br /> RESPONSE: Details 2/A4 & 3/A4 are retained. <br /> 4. Tapered insulation is not considered as continued insulation on top of slab. Please have R 10 rigid <br /> insulation to cover the entire slab and then put tapered insulation on top of it. Kindly revise section <br /> drawing 2/A4 and A/A9 accordingly. <br /> RESPONSE: Detail 2/A4 and building section A/A9 are revised. <br /> STRUCTURAL <br /> COMMENT/CORRECTION: <br /> 1. The modified load paths should comply with the prescriptive limitations of the IRC. Details for the <br /> construction of the proposed section at the garage that includes raising the existing roof beam one foot <br /> should be included.The details should specify connections for the top and bottom framing plates to the <br /> existing structure.See IRC Sections R106.1.1 and R301.1. <br /> RESPONSE: Existing roof header height will remain. It will not be raised. <br /> 2. The proposed roof plan over the garage conversion on sheet A8 appears to show the new headers at <br /> different locations the new windows that are shown on sheet A7. Please revise accordingly. <br /> RESPONSE: The roof plan over the garage conversion has been revised.
