Proposal for Design Consultation Services <br />Project: Everett Multi-Purpose Stadium <br />Client: DLR Group & SOJ <br />Submitted by: Headwater People <br /> <br />Headwater People is pleased to submit this proposal to provide design consultation services for <br />the new multi-purpose stadium in Everett, Washington. Our work will focus on engagement with <br />the Tulalip Tribes and other regional tribes, incorporating Coast Salish and Tulalip art and <br />design into the project. <br />Our team has extensive experience in leading Tribal engagement and cultural design <br />integration, with successful collaborations on projects such as the Seattle Aquarium, Elliott Bay <br />Connections, and the Pacific Science Center. We bring deep relationships with Indigenous <br />communities and a proven track record of ensuring authentic representation in public spaces. <br />Headwater People excels at bridging the gap between a Western design perspective and Coast <br />Salish-informed artists, designers, and Tribal leaders. We foster meaningful collaboration by <br />supporting and working alongside architects and planners, ensuring they feel engaged and <br />confident in incorporating Indigenous perspectives. At the same time, we provide crucial support <br />for Native artists and designers by facilitating pathways for their work to be showcased in a <br />significant public venue, ensuring their contributions are recognized and valued. Our goal is to <br />cultivate an inclusive and enriching process where all parties feel connected to a shared vision <br />and take pride in their collective contribution. <br /> <br />Scope of Work <br />Headwater People will lead the engagement with the Tulalip Tribes and other tribes that may be <br />identified during the course of the project. Our work will include: <br />1. Tribal Engagement & Relationship Building <br />○ Establish and maintain communication with the Tulalip Tribes and other <br />Indigenous communities. <br />○ Facilitate discussions to ensure Tribal voices are represented in the stadium <br />design process. <br />2. Identification of Indigenous Designers & Artists <br />○ Work with the Tulalip Tribes and other stakeholders to identify designers and <br />artists specializing in Coast Salish and Tulalip art. <br />Design-Build Contract for Everett Outdoor Events Center <br />Exhibit C - Phase 1A Work and Fee Proposal
