<br />2025 FEDERAL OVERLAY, BROADWAY – CALIFORNIA ST TO 18TH ST SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />FEDERAL AID# STBGUL-2715(012); COE PW# 3841 SP-112 May 6, 2025 <br /> <br /> The Thermal Traffic Sensor shall utilize Non-Uniformity Correction (NUC) 1 <br />which is a set of compensation factors for each pixel. NUC shall enable the 2 <br />following features and benefits: 3 <br /> Eliminate the need for FPA (Focal Plane Array) temperature 4 <br />stabilization. 5 <br /> Allow for near instantaneous camera turn-on. 6 <br /> Reduced system complexity and power consumption. 7 <br /> Allow for a wider operating temperature range. 8 <br /> The Thermal Traffic Sensor shall include Automatic Gain Control (AGC) 9 <br />circuitry to compensate for scene variations, improve image quality by 10 <br />avoiding saturation and distortion, and to balance signal levels prior to display 11 <br />to maximize image quality. 12 <br /> The Thermal Traffic Camera shall feature both White-Hot and Black-Hot 13 <br />operating modes. In the White-Hot (default) mode warmer objects will be 14 <br />displayed in white or lighter shades than cooler or background areas. In the 15 <br />Black-Hot mode warmer images will be displayed as black or dark gray as 16 <br />compared to cooler background objects. 17 <br /> The Thermal Traffic Sensor shall be furnished in an IP-67 rated outdoor 18 <br />enclosure with mounting bracket. The mounting bracket shall be provided 19 <br />with holes for mounting to a pole, pedestal, or wall mount. All cable 20 <br />connections shall be quick connect. No tools are required to connect the 21 <br />sensor once the original adapter has been installed on the wire. 22 <br /> The Sensor has an Earth ground conductor which is run as part of the power 23 <br />cable bundle. This Earth ground is terminated in the cabinet 24 <br /> The Thermal Traffic Sensor shall operate on 12-60 VDC. 25 <br /> The Thermal Traffic Sensor shall include a 10-year warranty on the thermal 26 <br />Sensor. 27 <br /> The Thermal Traffic Sensor shall meet the following minimum requirements: 28 <br /> 29 <br />Sensor Type Long-life VOx Uncooled <br />Microbolometer w/10-year warranty <br />Spectral Response 7 to 14μm <br />Sensitivity (Thermal Camera <br />sensor) <br /><50mK f/1.0
