July 2, 2025 <br />2 <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Several council members thanked the public commentors. <br /> <br />Vice President Zarlingo provided thanks for the Field Day hosted by the Snohomish County Hams <br />Club. <br /> <br />Council Member Fosse attended the groundbreaking of Little Wings Early Learning Academy, <br />reminded the public that Everett Transit is seeking public comment from July 1- July 21st, <br />provided information on the Marshallese 4th of July events, and congratulated the newly <br />appointed Animal Shelter Advisory Board members. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader attended the Association of Washington Cities Conference. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne reminded the public about the Port Garnder community garage sale <br />happening on July 12th and the deadline to sign up is July 3rd. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy attended the Community Health and Safety Council Committee meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> <br />Government Affairs Director Jennifer Gregerson advised the public that the State is completing <br />construction work on I-5, causing closures and lane reductions on northbound I-5 with <br />southbound express lanes being closed during construction, and advised that Everett Transit has <br />started public outreach for the long-range transit plan. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />Deputy City Attorney Ramsey Ramerman requested a 20-minute executive session pursuant to <br />RCW 42.30.110 (1)(i) to discuss four legal matters with no anticipated action to follow. <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member Rhyne, to approve the <br />following consent items: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br />
