An ordinance authorizing and directing the mayor an:. city clerk to acquire by private purchase, in the name of the city of Everett, for park purposes, certain property situate in the city of Everett, and providing a method of paying for the same. THEREAS, The Board of Park Commissioners have, in writing, reccmmended to the city council the purchase of certain property des- cribed in section 1 of this ordinance, to be acquired for park purpos- es, at a sum not to exceed P10,000. 00, ane upon terms specified here- in, NO THEREFORE, TFE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ()MAIN: Section ; That the mayor and city clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to acquire by private purchase, in the name of the city of Everett, for a sum not to exceed ten thousand (P10,000) , for park purposes, the following described real property, to-wit: Parcel No, . 1: Beginning at a point where the east line of Grand Avenue as now deeded intersects the south line of the west approach to the Eighteenth Street Snohomish Iiiver bridge; thence northeasterly along the south boundary of said west approach to its intersection with the west boundary of the Great Northern Railway Company' s right-of- way; thence scutheasterly along the west boundaxy of said reat North- ern Railvay Company' s right-of-way to its intersection with the east line cf Grand 'venue as the eame is now deeded; thence northwesterly &long the east line of said Grand venue to the place of beginning, and containing one-tenth acre, more or less.
