Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan
4.0 Construction Phasing and BMP
Implementation
The BMP implementation schedule will be driven by the construction schedule. The following
provides a sequential list of the proposed construction schedule milestones and the corresponding
BMP implementation schedule. The list contains key milestones such as wet season
construction.
The BMP implementation schedule listed below is keyed to proposed phases of the construction
project, and reflects differences in BMP installations and inspections that relate to wet season
construction. The project site is located west of the Cascade Mountain Crest. As such, the dry
season is considered to be from May 1 to September 30 and the wet season is considered to be
from October 1 to April 30.
• Mark Clearing Limits: June 2012
• Install ESC measures: June 2012
• Install stabilized construction entrance: June 2012
• Begin clearing and grubbing: July 2012
• Stabilize Soils: Sept. 2012 to Sept.2013
• Protect Slopes: Sept.2012 to Sept. 2013
• Stabilized Site: Sept.2013
The construction sequence for this project is as outlined in the TESC Plan Sheets and Details in
Appendix A. The project is likely to be constructed under a single phase, however, the
contractor is encouraged to phase the project as much as is feasible, making sure to stabilize
portions of the site that are to be unworked for significant periods of time.
A construction schedule has not yet been established. The owner and contractor shall discuss the
project schedule with the City at or before the preconstruction conference to determine the best
way to mitigate any wet-season construction concerns.
13
