Along with the change in allowable hydraulic drop using different cartridge heights
also came a specification for determining the design flow when using a single-event model such as SBUH. It
is no longer a standard 15gpm as used in your size and cost estimate sheet. The design flow for your system
must be determined using the procedure specified in the GULD. In addition, the 12-inch cartridge size that
allows the reduced hydraulic drop has a smaller rated gpm/cartridge. If you are going to go with the 12-inch
cartridge size, then the design calcs must be modified to reflect the change in the system design. In addition,
the plans and the design report must clearly state the size of the cartridges.
Thank you.
Jane
Jane Zimmerman, Sr. Engineer
City of Everett Public Works Department
phone: 425-257-8885 fax: 425-257-8882
e-mail:jzimmerman@deverettwa.us
From: Ron Riach [mailto:Ron@JRREngr.com]
Sent: Monday, January 07, 2008 5:24 PM
To: Jane Zimmerman
Subject: Bank of WA
Jane,
4/14/2008
