2 SWPPP ANALYSIS AND DESIGN
Design of the SWPPP Plan was completed in conformance with Volume II of the
Stormwater Manual. Compliance with the 12 elements is summarized below.
Element 1: Preserve Vegetation / Mark Clearing Limits: Clearing limits have been
delineated on sheet ER-01 of the construction plans. The clearing limits extend only
to those areas that will be disturbed during construction of the subject project. The
specific BMPs for marking the clearing limits that will be applied for this project
include:
• Preserving Natural Vegetation (BMP C101)
• Buffer Zones (BMP C102)
• High Visibility Plastic or Metal Fence (BMP C103)
Element 2: Establish Construction Access: The existing gravel driveway will be
utilized for a construction entrance. See sheet ER-01 of the construction plans for
location. A detail is also attached on sheet ER-02 of the construction plans. The
specific BMPs related to establishing construction access that will be used on this
project include:
• Stabilized Construction Entrance (BMP C105)
• Construction Road/Parking Area Stabilization (BMP C107)
Element 3: Control Flow Rates: Increases in flow rates will be mitigated by capturing
and conveying runoff from disturbed areas to a temporary sediment trap prior to
outflowing into the City storm drainage system. Additionally, Post-Construction Soil
Quality and Depth will be implemented for all disturbed soil areas. The specific BMPs
for control of flow rates that shall be used on this project include:
• Temporary Sediment Pond (BMP C241)
• Interceptor Dike and Swale (BMP C200)
July 2014 2-1 LDC Job No. 13-144
