•
requirements. This project proposes to use a Stormfilter system to address
water quality needs. Based on WWHM4, the system will need to be able to
provide treatment for up to the 2-year, 15-minute outflow from the vault,
which is 0.0259 cfs (11.624 gpm). Assuming the use of the 18" cartridges, 4
cartridges will be necessary to treat this basin based on sizing information from
Contech. These can be accommodated in a single 60" manhole. For additional
detail, see the project calculations included in Appendix 4-A.
Basin B
In the developed state, Basin B will be comprised of the following coverage:
Coverage Area
C, Lawn, Flat 1.42 acres
Roof, Tops, Flat 1.06 acres
Roads, Flat 1.52 acres
Total 4.00 acres
NGPA Area 0.21 acres
A portion of the site along SR 527 releases undetained due to site grades. The
bypass area breakdown is as follows:
Coverage Area
C, Lawn, Flat 0.25 acres
Roads, Flat 0.07 acres
Total 0.32 acres
The flows from these areas have been included in the calculations, counting
toward the total allowed outflow for Basin B.
A detention vault per Chapter 3, Volume III of the Manual has been proposed to
manage the drainage in this basin. After detention, outflow will be piped to
the existing culvert under 19th Ave. SE where it will outfall into Silver Lake.
July 2014 4-2 LDC Job No. 13-144
