The overflow operates when the inflow rate is greater than the <br /> treatment capacity of the filter cartridges. <br /> Maintenance Overview <br /> The primary purpose of the StormFilter is to filter out and prevent pollutants from entering our <br /> waterways. Like any effective filtration system, periodically these pollutants must be removed to <br /> restore the StormFilter to its full efficiency and effectiveness. Maintenance requirements and <br /> frequency are dependent on the pollutant load characteristics of each site. To assist the owner with <br /> maintenance issues, Stormwater Management Inc.will provide detailed Maintenance Guidelines upon <br /> request. <br /> Maintenance services can be provided completely,or in part, by Stormwater Management Inc. <br /> Available services include tracking of installed systems, advising the system's owner of maintenance <br /> needs, conducting complete system maintenance, and notifying the regulatory agency once the <br /> system has been maintained. <br /> Maintenance activities may be required in the event of a chemical spill or due to excessive sediment <br /> loading from site erosion or extreme storms.
