AI/uTCAV®
115- "' Size and Cost Estimate
STORMWATER
SOLUTIONS INC.
Prepared by Joe Reidy on March 7,2007
Marlene Bissell 10-unit — Stormwater Treatment System
Everett, WA
Information provided:
• Water quality flow, Qwq = 0.06 cfs 2x els 5 gel
0,/ efS CI9Pr9crTy
• Presiding agency= City of Everett
Assumptions:
• Media = ZPG cartridges
• Flow rate per cartridge = 15 gpm
• Drop required from inlet to outlet = 2.3' minimum
Size and cost estimates:
The StormFilter is a flow-based system, and therefore, is sized by calculating the peak water quality flow rate
associated with the design storm. The water quality flow rate was calculated by the engineer and provided to
CONTECH Stormwater Solutions Inc.
The StormFilter for this site was sized based on a water quality flow rate of 0.06 cfs. To accommodate this flow rate,
CONTECH Stormwater Solutions Inc. recommends using a steel catch basin StormFilter with 2 cartridges. The
estimated cost of this system is $8,500, complete and delivered to the job site. The contractor is responsible for
setting the StormFilter and all external plumbing.
The catch basin StormFilter has an internal bypass capacity of 1.0 cfs. If the peak discharge off the site is expected
to exceed this rate, we recommend placing a high-flow bypass upstream of the StormFilter system. CONTECH
Stormwater Solutions Inc. could provide our high-flow bypass, the StormGate, which provides a combination weir-
orifice control structure to limit the flow to the StormFilter. The estimated cost of this structure is $4,000. The final
cost would depend on the actual depth and size of the unit.
02006 CONTECH Stormwater Solutions 12021-B NE Airport Way,Portland OR 97220 Page 1 of 2
contechstormwater.com Toll-free:800.548.4667 Fax:800.561.1271
