On arrival, Inspector met with contractor representative to determine the scope of work for the day and to review the on -site permit plan set. Inspector noted the formwork was commercial reusable formwork, and the dimensions conformed with approved plans, and wall form sections already installed were sufficiently braced to resist concrete placement pressures and to maintain dimensionality during the placement and internal vibratory consolidation of concrete. Reinforcing steel was the correct size and type per plans, and was spliced in conformance with the reinforcing steel splice tables in the permit plan notes. No exceptions were noted, and contractor will have areas that were still in progress during the inspection inspected prior to the closing up of forms in preparation for the placement of concrete.
