ORDINANCE NO. 1778 An ordinance providing for the improvement of Baker Avenue from the north curb line of Hewitt Avenue to the south curb line of Twenty-fifth Street, by removal of old lumber, grading to proper grade, construction of concrete pavement, concrete walks, curbs and gutters, providing necessary drainage, and doine such other work as may be necessary to make a complete improvement, approving the plane any. specifications for ouch improvement, creating an assessment district, creating a local improvement district fund therefor, prov- iding that payment for said improvement be made by special assessment on the property in said district under the mode of "Payment by Bonds". WHEREAS, a. majority petition of the property-owners petition- ing for said improvement has heretofore been filed with the commissioner of public works, and said commissioner found the things set forth in said petition to be true, and WHEREAS, said commieeioner of public works has filed with the city council all data and information in regard to said improve- ment as required by law, and WHEREAS, the commissioner of public works has recommended to the city council that such improvement petitioned for be made, and it appearing to the city council that public convenience and necessity requires such improvement be made, NOT THEREFORE, THE CITY OP EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Baker Avenue from the north. curb line of Tlewitt Avenue to the south curb line of Twenty-fifth Street, be Lsproved by removal of old lumber, grading to proper grade, construction of con- crete pavement, concrete walks, curbs and gutters, providing necessary drainage, and doing such other work as may be necessary to make a com- plete improvement according to plans and specifications prepared und- er the direction of the city engineer, which plans and specifications are hereby adopted and approved.
