e. Expected operating state and confirmation of proper operation indicated at the smoke
control panel within 60 seconds.
9. Smoke control power and control wiring is fully enclosed in continuous raceways in accordance
with IBC Section 909.12.2. The equipment, control wiring, power wiring, and ductwork is
protected to a 2-hour fire -resistance rating as prescribed in IBC Section 909.20.6.1.
10. The smoke control system operated correctly under normal and secondary power. The
pressurization system continued to operate correctly under transfer to secondary power (tap -
ahead).
11. A weekly self -test was successfully performed. A fire alarm event during the weekly self -test
resulted in over -ride of the weekly self -test and automatic operation of the smoke control system
and initiation of the fire alarm notification devices. Testing also demonstrated that the weekly
self -test did not over -ride automatically or manually initiated smoke control events.
12. The printer for the fire alarm system has been installed in the Building B fire alarm room.
FINAL COMMENTS:
The Stair 1 and Stair 2 fire alarm wiring serving the smoke control fan and damper was originally planned
to run from the fire alarm room to Stair 1 and Stair 2 in the PT deck. However, the conduits were damaged
and unusable. Therefore, both Stair 1 and Stair 2 smoke control fire alarm wiring has been revised to
utilize separate paths from the fire alarm room to each associated stair enclosure as follows: wiring runs
within conduit attached to the parking garage ceiling utilizing 2-hour fire rated wire within metallic
raceway thus maintaining the required separation and protection of the wiring.
The construction team will assemble smoke control O&M, design, and test documents for transition to
the building operations team.
Based on the findings above and by personal knowledge and on -site observation, the stair pressurization
systems for Stair 1 and Stair 2 of Four Corners Building D have been satisfactorily tested as documented
in this report and the attached test forms.
Prepared by: oDWA
WAS ti%
Allen Engineering, PLLC I
'A 31713
Travis E.
