NORTHWEST
ENGINEERING GROUP
Mr. Aaron Sanchez November 10, 2022
2216 Grand Avenue
Everett, WA
Re: Foundation Inspection
Permit Number: B2208-085
2216 Grand Avenue
Everett, WA
Dear Mr. Sanchez,
A pile inspection was performed at your residence on October 14, 2022 by Northwest Engineering
Group. The purpose of the pile inspection was to verify the foundation underpinning work
recommended in the Foundation & Elevation Assessment Plan on August 4, 2022 had been
performed. The underpinning work was completed by Ram Jack West on October 14, 2022. The
inspection was strictly visual and limited to documents provided by Ram Jack West.
A total of seven (7) 2-7/8" helical piles were installed in accordance with the Foundation &
Elevation Assessment Plan. Based on the pile installation log provided, the pile embedment
depths ranged from 5 to 7 feet. The reported minimum installation torque was 6,665 ft-lb. Based
on this torque and a factor of safety of 2, the allowable capacity is 29.9 kips, which exceeds the
25 kips required. The underpinning piles appear to have been properly installed in accordance
with a method typical of the industry. In addition, the piles are laterally braced in accordance with
section 1810.2.2 of the 2018 IBC and compliant with section 1810.2.1.
This concludes this report. Observations made in this report pertain to the condition of the
residence on the date of the inspection which is subject to change. No foundation warranty is
expressed or implied by this report other than the warranty provided by the foundation repair
contractor. If I can be of further assistance or should you have any questions about this report,
please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
W14
pPpF WAsyiti1'
57483ISTt AA
SS ONA
Sean Morrison, E.I.T.
