We understand an addition is to be constructed on the
south side of the existing residence, which will be situated near a steep northeast-facing slope below and
to the northeast of the proposed addition and the existing residence. We have been informed that the
City of Everett has requested a geotechnical evaluation due to the planned improvements being located
within a geologic sensitive area. You have requested that we explore the subsurface conditions within
the planned improvement areas and provide recommendations and conclusions pertaining to the addition
foundations and the existing steep slope. For our use, we have been provided with a plan set titled
"Proposed Remodel and Addition,"prepared by Millenium Design, dated February 19,2016.
