Most of the <br />expenditures under the amendment will be eligible for reimbursement through a grant <br />from the Washington Department of Ecology. <br />Original PSA amount $877,460 <br />Amendment amount $399,610 <br />Total contract amount $1,277,070 <br /> <br />Project summary statement: <br />This project will construct a stormwater treatment facility in the Lowell neighborhood <br />and replace approximately three blocks of undersized stormwater pipe on Lenora St. <br />Once subsequent stormwater projects are completed the treatment facility will remove <br />pollutants from stormwater runoff generated by more than 250 acres of the city prior to <br />discharge to the Snohomish River. The project also includes interpretive pedestrian <br />facilities, landscaping and restoration of disturbed streets and property. <br />Amendment #1 to the HDR contract funds completion of design and consultant support <br />during bidding and construction phases. The previous contract was for partial design and <br />permitting only and did not include bidding and construction period support services. <br />The amendment also extends the expiration date of the agreement to allow for the <br />completion of the additional work. <br /> <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign <br />Amendment #1 to the Professional Services Agreement with HDR Engineering, Inc. for <br />the Lexington-Broadway Stormwater Improvements Phase 1 project for the amount of <br />$399,610.
