August 6, 2025 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Several Council members provided condolences on the passing of Carol Jensen, thanked the <br />public commenter, congratulated the new officers, and attended National Night Out events <br />throughout the city. <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo attended the Silver Lake Neighborhood Association Meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> <br />Government Affairs Director Jennifer Gregerson advised the first reading of Council Bill 2507-41 <br />also includes a briefing, provided an update on police volunteers driving police cars, and will <br />follow up on climate resilience work. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />City Attorney David Hall requested a 10-minute executive session, pursuant to RCW <br />42.31.10(1)(b) regarding a real estate matter, with no Council action to follow. <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Zarlingo, seconded by Council Member Tuohy, to approve the <br />following consent items: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 8192 authorizing claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br />$3,339,969.92 for the period ending July 12, 2025, through July 18, 2025. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 8193 authorizing claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br />$1,616,303.33 for the period ending July 19, 2025, through July 25, 2025. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION – PAYROLL CLAIMS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 8194 authorizing payroll claims against the City of Everett <br />the amount of $6,522,171.81 for the period of July 12, 2025. <br />
