Building Permit Application <br /> 1617 Rucker Ave, Everett, WA 98201 <br /> June 27, 2024 <br /> The chimney will be repaired below the roof line and rebuilt above the roof line. <br /> The repair below the roof tine will include tuckpointing, cleaning,and creating tight joints between <br /> the chimney and the siding of the house. <br /> The rebuild above the roofline will be done according to the requirements of the Washington 2021 <br /> Code. It will include flashing at the roof, new cored brick,clay liners for the two flues as described <br /> in the attached section 503.5.3 of the Washington 2021 Code,a wythe between the flue liners, no.4 <br /> vertical steel reinforcing bars, horizontal steel reinforcing ties,bond beams at the roofline and <br /> chimney cap,a sloped concrete cap, and spark arrestors.The chimney will extend a minimum of 2 <br /> feet above any portion of the building within a horizontal distance of 10 feet,as required by the <br /> attached section 503.5.4 of the Washington 2021 Code. <br /> The following cross-section shows the outside dimensions of the chimney,the two flue liners and <br /> the wythe separating the two flues.
