Section 2: Map Attached <br /> Attached hereto and incorporated herein is a map (Exhibit "A") which identifies the <br /> land area being annexed. <br /> Section 3: Assumption of Indebtedness <br /> Upon annexation, the land area described in Section 1 shall become a part of the <br /> City of Everett, and shall be subject to all of its laws and ordinances then and <br /> thereafter in force. Upon annexation of the above-described land area, all said <br /> property within the area shall be assessed and taxed at the same rate as other <br /> property located within the city to pay for any outstanding indebtedness of the City <br /> contracted prior to or existing at the date of this annexation. In addition, the <br /> annexed area will remain responsible unto any other lawfully formed municipal <br /> corporation to which the property is obliged at the time of annexation subject to a <br /> specific lien. Further, since the City may incur additional operating expenses in <br /> supplying water or sewage to persons who are located within the annexed area, <br /> utility rates for the property described in Section 1 may vary from rates of other <br /> areas within the City. <br /> Section 4: Land Use Designation <br /> The existing Comprehensive Plan designations of 1.1(Single Family Detached), is <br /> hereby affirmed as the Comprehensive Plan designation for the annexation area, <br /> according to the boundaries depicted on the attached map (Exhibit "A"). <br /> Section 5: Severability <br /> Should any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this <br /> ordinance or its application to any person or situation be declared unconstitutional <br /> or invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining <br /> portions of this ordinance or its application to any other person or situation. The <br /> City Council of the City of Everett hereby declares that it would have adopted this <br /> ordinance and each section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or <br /> portion thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, <br /> paragraphs, sentences, clauses, phrases or portions be declared invalid or <br /> unconstitutional. <br /> Section 6: Effective Date <br /> 3 <br />
